December 7, 2012 / SCT San Lorenzo Gym By Raymond A. Bonifacio FIRST GAME REVENGE Friday, as SCT Batch 91 posted a commanding 50-31 score over the hapless SCT Batch 90. Orchestrated fast-breaks and furious attacks to the basket led SCT Batch 91 to their third win in 4 games as they pulled-off a win over a seemingly tired and lethargic SCT Batch 90. Cosino of SCT Batch 91 led all scorers with 16 points and Rogel Alcoriza banged his way into the shaded lane for some monstrous rebounds. SCT Batch 90 now posted a 2-2 win-loss card at the start of the second round of the elimination. SECOND GAME John “Bok” Manosca had another career best by drilling-in 30 points to lead SCT BATCH 96 past anew SCT BATCH 95. For their second consecutive meeting in the elimination round, SCT Batch 96 again demolished the ill-fated team of John Rally Manosca, the SCT Batch 95. It was a game dominated by the younger Batch 96 as they showed great passing and mobility in every corner of the hard court. Benjo Albarillo of SCT Batch 96 ably supported Manosca with 12 points. SCT Batch 95ers was led by the high scoring duo of Edmar Roballe with 23 points and John Rally Manosca with 20 points. The duo came short in the end game as they failed to get support from the other players in terms of scoring. SCT Batch 95 now posted a miserable 0-4 win-loss slate. GAMES….GAMES….GAMES… December 8, 2012 / SCT San Lorenzo Gym By Raymond A. Bonifacio FIRST GAME SCT BATCH 88 hammered SCT Batch 89 to avenge their loss to the same team who beats them in their first meeting by posting a very convincing 80-65 score. Playing a very inspired game as his loving wife watches on the sideline, League Commissioner Reinerr V. Santos cruised to a very sterling performance by bugging the scorebook with a 35-point performance. Showing no mercy all throughout the game, SCT Batch 88 rotates the ball very well, creates eye-popping passes and delivers jaw-dropping drives to the basket, as the undermanned team of League Chairman Raymond Bonifacio, SCT Batch 89 drops to 2-2 win loss record. |
SCT Batch 88 and SCT Batch 89 now shares an identical win-loss record of 2-2, with SCT Batch 88 grabbing the second spot behind SCT Batch 87 in the bracket standing via a +14 in the quotient system.
Rod Castillo again paced the 89ers with another 31-point performance, but was not enough to carry his team to victory. JP Barbosa of SCT Batch 89 hugged the boards with some monstrous offensive and defensive rebounds but fell short in the end game. The 89ers missed the services of Jonard “The Gigil Man” De Leon and Bull-Strong Angelo Yongzon. SECOND GAME SCT Batch 2000 cruised to their 3rd consecutive victory in the elimination round by posting a 48-41 score versus SCT Batch 2001. It was a run and gun type of game for the two youngster teams as they gave as a very good show with a barraged of 3-point bombs unleashed by “Mr. Cool” Gian Franco Baluran of SCT Batch 2001 but were not enough to carry his team for a 17-ppoint performance. SCT Batch 2000 is now up to 3 wins and 2 losses slate while SCT Batch 2001 drops to 1-4 win-loss record. VOLLEYBALL GAME December 8, 2012 / Saturday / SCT San Lorenzo Gym By Raymond Bonifacio FLAWLESS! That’s how we should describe SCT Batch 89 Girls Volleyball team as they speed-up to their 4th straight victory of the season topping SCT Batch 88 Girls Volleyball team, 2 sets to 0.
