Raymond Bonifacio FIRST GAME SCT BATCH 91 notched their second straight win of the season with a 69-57 dagger over a younger but relentless SCT BATCH 94. Big Boy Rogel Alcoriza carried the scoring loads in the shaded lane for his batch with a 22-point performance, enough for him to be given the Best Player of the Game award for the second straight game. Alcoriza did not score in the first quarter but dominated the paint by scoring 6 in the 2nd quarter, 8 in the 3rd canto and 8 in the last quarter. Ably supported by his teammates, Celones, Cosino and Oliveroz, SCT Batch 91 proved that they are a dominant force for BRACKET B. Apolo Aramil led his SCT Batch 94 in scoring with 15 points followed by Edward Macabebe, with 9 points. Congratulations SCT BATCH 91! SECOND GAME SCT Batch 2004 spoiled the debut of SCT Student Assistants Team as they posted a dominating 63-52 score for their second straight win of the season. Giving justice to his surname, BERNARD MAGALING topscored for his team with 17 versatile points, followed by Robert Laroco with 10 points. Magaling bagged his second straight Best Player of the Game award with an all-around performance in the hard court as he not only scored points for his team, but he orchestrated plays, hauled rebounds and initiate passes. ELY BOY QUAIOUT scored 17 points for the SCT SA but was not enough to get closer to SCT BATCH 2004. THIRD GAME SCT BATCH 98 edged SCT BATCH 95 for their second win of the season. SCT BATCH 98 shared the limelight with SCT Batch 99 at the top spot of the standing in their bracket as they beat the JOHN RALLY MANOSCA led SCT Batch 95. PAHJONG AVELINO garnered 24 points to top all scorers in his batch as he was handed-over the BEST PLAYER OF THE GAME plum, and ably supported by hotshot Ding Reyes with 13 points and Gilbert Lorenzo with 9 points. The game was closed in the first half but SCT BATCH 98 showed composure and accuracy in their shots in the second half as they pulled-away and left SCT Batch 95 in misery with a 0-2 post in the standing. JOHN RALLY MANOSCA scattered seven (7) rainbow shots from all around the hardcourt and posted a league high 30 points, but then again, failed to get enough support from his teammates other than Edmar Roballe, who posted 12 points for the game. Manosca grabbed his 4th personal foul in the third quarter with still 7:23 left that somehow slowed him down going into the 4th quarter. |

JAY BERNARDO stepped-up for his team with a 17-point performance in the game and was named as the Best Player for the night. Abe Matibag supported Bernardo with 11 points, as SCT Batch 2000 resurrected from a 0 win – 2 losses record last week and grabbed their first with of the season in 3 games. A tightly contested game from start to finish, SCT Batch 2001 can’t seem to orchestrate the last plays in the last quarter and let the older SCT Batch 2000 pulled-away with a 5 point lead as the final buzzer of the game sounded. Playmaking demon JERVY LORENZO topscored for his batch with 15 points as SCT Batch 2001 now has 2 straight losses in the first round. SECOND GAME SCT Batch 92 wins over SCT Batch 90 to pull-even at 1-1 win loss record in their bracket. Proving dominance in the game, SCT Batch 92 tasted their first win of the season, after being defeated by SCT Batch 91 in the opening games, and shared the same spot with SCT Batch 90 in their bracket with identical 1 win and 1 loss record. Enrico Pangan carried the scoring chores for SCT Batch 92 as he loaded 18 points in the game. SCT Batch 90 tasted their first loss of the season. A short verbal tussle occurred between SCT Batch 92’s Dennis Babar and SCT Batch 90’s Ramil Baladjay late in the third quarter that created a little tension on the court, but was handily pacified by the officials and players of both teams. SCT Batch 90 promised to get-even with SCT Batch 92 in the second round. THIRD GAME SCT BATCH 99 wins anew against an equally strong team SCT Batch 98. Score: 58-53 Playing another MVP like performance, statistical race leader ANTHONY STA. ANA of SCT Batch 99 led his team to another sterling performance with a 58-53 win over SCT Batch 98. Dubbed as the Lebron James of Siena High Alumni, Sta. Ana scattered another career best 27 points and tagged another Best Player of the Game in his belt. SCT Batch 98 almost made it over SCT Batch 99 as they led several times in a see-saw battle of the two great teams, but got folded in the end game as Sta. Ana and Ramir Gabutina, who nailed down 12 points, combined for a sizzling attack over their opponent, that put them on top of the bracket standing with 3 wins and 0 loss. SCT Batch 98 tasted their very first loss of the season after posting a 2-0 win loss start. Gilbert Lorenzo paced the scoring for SCT Batch 98 with 21 points, followed by Dominic Condino and Pajhong Avelino with 16 points apiece. |

FIRST GAME
An unblemished 3-0 win loss record was posted by SCT Batch 2003 with a smothering win over SCT Student Assistants. Score: 65-57
David Victorio scored 17 points and Alvin Edwards snatched 16 points as the duo combined for an unfaltering attack to grab their third straight win of the season and shared the spotlight in the Bracket D standing with SCT Batch 2004 under a 3-0 win loss card.
Closed in the 1st half, SCT Batch 2003 started to pull-away in the second half but SCT Student Assistants team refuses to give-up under the combined superlative duo of Ely Boy Quiaoit with 18 points and Archie Apayart with 17 points, but still faltered to grab a win as they loss anew.
Better luck next time, SCT-SA!
SECOND GAME
A good start and a clean sweep for SCT BATCH 2004… As they posted another win, this time against a team that needs to be overhauled, SCT Batch 2001. Score; 64-53
BERNARD MAGALING, again accomplished an MVP like performance by posting 28 career high points, with 17 points scored only in the fourth quarter. It was an A-Game performance for Magaling who captured yet another Best Player of the Game honour in the first round of the SCT-ASUL Men’s Basketball competition. Bernard, Magaling ka talaga!
RJ Laroco helped Magaling with 17 points, including three 3-pint bombs and Ralph Jason Contrevida, who got injured late in the 4th quarter with still 4:33 left in the game, scored 10 points, with most of them in the third canto. Let’s just hope that Ralph Jason is okey.
Gian Franco Baluran was the top scorer for SCT Batch 2001with 20 points, followed by Jervy Lorenzo with 11 points.

FIRST GAME (Nov. 24, '12)
SCT Volleyball Girls Batch 99 Team sucked SCT Volleyball Girls Batch 88 to grab their first win. 2 Sets to 0.
Practice paved the way for SCT Batch 99 Volleyball Team as they cracked 2 Sets to 0 win over SCT Batch 88 and cemented an identical 1-1 win loss card. It was a cardiac game between the two opposing teams in the first set when they finished a closed 25-23 score, but SCT Batch 99 proved to be the luckier team of the day as they managed to escape a convincing 25-14 win in the second round.
Congratulations Dheng, Grace, Marie, Evanny, Dyan, Melanie and Toyang for a job well done!
SECOND GAME (Nov. 25, '12)
SCT BATCH 89 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM swept the first round with an unblemished record of 3 wins and no loss (3-0), as they smothered their younger counterpart, newcomer SCT BATCH 98, 2 sets to 1.
SCT Volleyball Girls Batch 89 took the first set, 25-15 and vowed in the second set, as SCT Batch 98 became the first team to beat SCT Batch 89 in a set, posting a thrilling and nerve-wracking win in the second set, 25-24. However, SCT Volleyball Girls Batch 89 proved their dominance in the league as they convincingly grabbed the third set, 15-9, and put their name in the limelight with a 3-0 win loss slate in the tournament.
